Today we have something dope – the original Gangstarr Crew!
Mikey Dee, Damo D, Beatmaster Jay and MC Keithy E. (Guru), all the way back from 1986! All of that happened around 3 years before Guru met DJ Premier p.k.a. Waxmaster C. Plus, brothers like Donald D, The 45 King and several others were involved from the begining.
The original Gangstarr group was founded in Roxbury, Boston by Guru.
You’ll notice that something is missing – this is one of the very few tracks I ever encountered where I can’t find the name of the song, I can only guess more or less. Also, I just found out few mins ago – they apparently made TWO demos – last year I posted their first (I think) demo, while today’s unknown joint is very likely off the apparent 2nd demo tape. Like, Wha’choo talkin’ ’bout, Willis?
