Video: Dig Of The Day: Stezo ft. Jim Slice – Bop Ya Headz (1994)

I was shocked to say the least. New Haven, Connecticut native, one of the dopest cats in the game since the late 80’s, a gentleman, a dancer, rapper and producer, mr. Stephen Jerome Williams, known by his stage name Stezo, sadly passed away in his sleep on April 29, 2020 at the age of 51 from heart complications.

He dropped on the scene as a dancer for EPMD, where he appeared in the video for You Gots to Chill from EPMD‘s 1988 debut album Strictly Business. Shortly after that he got deeper in the game and became a producer and excellent on-point rapper which can be witnessed on his whole debut ’89 album Crazy Noise. He was funky at the begining but as years went by he went underground and his music became much more serious.

This video you’re watching is a real treat, I found out about it just minutes ago… Bop Ya Headz appears on Bop Ya Headz / Shining Star single, released on Funktown Records in ’94.

Rest in Power! (March 10, 1969 – April 29, 2020)
