(Throwback) Masta Ace Live @ Aquarius Zagreb (2001)
On October 23rd, 2001 Masta Ace arrived in Zagreb, Croatia for the first time to do a show at Club Aquarius. We met earlier that year at the legendary D&D Studios in New York to play him Koolade, Dash & Baby Dooks beats for ‘Disposable Arts‘ LP. Ace picks a beat from Koolade for a track called Something’s Wrong that was originally scheduled to feature Eminem (unfortunately didn’t happen) but ends up with homies Stricklin & Young Zee (Outsidaz). Masta Ace & Koolade collaborated a few more times after that & eventually ended up creating a classic Beautiful together in 2004.
