Video: Yasiin Bey & Mannie Fresh Collaborate For New Project ‘OMFGOD’
Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) and Mannie Fresh are collaborating on a new project titled OMFGOD.
They have put out two behind-the-scenes episodes chronicling the making of the project, live from New Orleans. In part one, Mannie Fresh is going through beats in the studio as Mos Def picks out a few to rap on. In part two, a 2007 interview with Yasiin is unearthed, where he speaks on his love for Mannie Fresh’s music and sound and what that’s meant to the game. Fast forward to the vlog, Mos Def talks about his move to N.O. and how corporations couldn’t have dreamt of a collaboration of this caliber.
