Video: Unsung – Lost Boyz

TV One’s Unsung profiled the legendary Jamaica, Queens foursome Lost Boyz. Mr. Cheeks, Freaky Tah, Pretty Lou & DJ Spigg Nice crafted infectious party songs and hood anthems that rocked from the East to the West Coast.

Lost Boyz released their debut gold album Legal Drug Money in 1996, which boasted the anthems Music Makes Me High, Lifestyles of the Rich and Shameless, Jeeps, Lex Coups, Bimas and Benz and one of the most famous rap ballads Renee. The group’s 1997 follow-up, Love, Peace & Nappiness, also went gold and featured the hit singles, Me & My Crazy World plus the title track.

Two years later things took a turn for the worst when Freaky Tah was fatally shot while leaving a party in a case of mistaken identity.
