Video: SIVA – You (4am)

When I look for hot underground Hip Hop, it takes a while before I run into something good. But when I do, I add the artists on Facebook/Soundcloud (or they somehow find me) to follow up on their progress. SIVA is one of those cats. The Brooklyn MC has a very specific and personal approach to his lyrics, as well as the beats he chooses. I can tell he’s inspired by the new wave of New York Hip Hop (Beast Coast, A$AP, etc.), but doesn’t struggle to search for his own style. In this short video, you can find a textbook example blend of what I mentioned above and I guarantee you, it will leave you hanging for more as the video is only about a minute long.
