Swiss MCs Unite For a Nationwide Cypher “Im Kreis”
What happens when you take some of the best freestyle/battle MCs in Switzerland, divide them by cantons and bring them together for a cypher? You get Im Kreis.
The name literally translates to “In the Circle” and also points straight to the idea behind a cypher: MCs coming together, taking their turn on the mic and representing where they come from. While many of the rappers involved are well known from freestyle battles, Im Kreis itself is not a freestyle session, but a proper cypher track bringing together names from across the Swiss scene.
Built on a beat by Classic der Dicke, with Fenton handling the hook, Im Kreis features VAITO, Kaano and Big Zis from Zurich, Emorey from St. Gallen, Nizzo from Thurgau, Joni from Graubünden and El Cambio from Glarus. Lucerne is represented by Iwes and Visu, while Aargau brings Hans Nötig, Dinero and Ra Pius into the circle. KimBo represents Ticino, with Chilz, Black Tiger, Venti and Free’J coming from Basel.
The line-up continues with Jefke from Fribourg, PeWe and Oudhini from Bern and Saimon Disko from Thun, while Crastinus Pro, B-ZAR, NOPE and D.E.M.O.K.R.I.T represent Biel. Captain Pesto also joins the extensive line-up.
