Spoonie Gee – Mighty Mike Tyson (Marley Marl Remix)

A rare Marley Marl remix of Spoonie Gee‘s ode to Mike Tyson. Original member of the Treacherous Three, Spoonie had late eighties renaissance period after releasing his debut solo LP, The Godfather of Hip-Hop. The Tuff City 1987 release includes the original version, but below we have Marley Marl’s long forgotten remix, a pretty radical reworking of the beat for a 1989 release, with new drums, bassline and hook.
