Ñandú Datrebil & Angelo Soliloquio feat. Marcélico, Lengua Streeta – “Kandela”

After catching quite some attention on the local scene with his debut album “13 Ángeles & Demonios: Abriendo la Jaula Con Hambre” back in 2023, the Cuban rapper Ñandú Datrebil took his creativity to a higher level and went on to prepare his second LP, dubbed “Datrebil Fly Shit,” which, with two phenomenal singles already on the airwaves, definitely sounds promising from the very start. The freshly released third music video “Kandela” only confirms this statement and also shows that we’re closing in on the drop of the new project.

Ñandú’s high-quality experimental efforts are absolutely paying off, as the new stuff he has been putting out is nothing but interesting. The first single, “Francotirador,” was the initial shot to the sky that decreed his desires, followed by “Oro,” which pays homage to his chosen family. For the latest release, he collaborated with the national slam poetry champion, Marcélico, who poetically joins in the interpretations of their personal reflections and walking the path of finding profound answers. Basically, the duo discusses the fact that not many were given many opportunities when born, but have to fight through life to achieve their goals and dreams. Those who persevere and keep going succeed, and unlike finite life, if you act right, your legacy will remain forever.
As with the previous two singles, this one too is produced by the Chilean beatmaker Angelo Soliloquio, who is also the sole architect of the whole project. With Marcélico, “Kandela” also features DJ Lengua Streeta with swift cuts to end the song with style. The quartet teamed up to work together flawlessly on the track, with nobody taking the other’s shine, even though it’s a solo project. That being said, there’ll be plenty of space for Ñandú Datrebil to shine on his own, and I’m really looking forward to see what will “Datrebil Fly Shit” provide.
