Another Hip-Hop classic gets a limited vinyl pressing!
It was almost 25 years ago DJ Premier put together Lil’ Dap & Melachi the Nutcracker of the Gang Starr Foundation to form Group Home and released their debut album Livin’ Proof. Beyond the album’s classic singles – Supa Star, Livin Proof & Suspended In Time – there are Premier-overseen classics all over, including The Realness, Inna Citi Life & Sacrifice. In fact, many Gang Starr scholars agree that the beats on Livin’ Proof are in the Top 5 of all Premier-produced albums – no small boast, but certainly hard to disprove.
To commemorate the upcoming 25 year anniversary of this Hip-Hop classic, Get On Down is reissuing Livin’ Proof in a limited opaque white double LP complete with a hand numbered OBI Strip. Only 500 copies have been pressed worldwide and the first 250 are available to order exclusively though Get On Down.
