Dig Of The Day: The JB’s – Hot Pants Road (1972)

Hey folks, today we have a smooth instrumental on some original funk ish from the legendary James Brown band, The JB‘s. Hot Pants Road is off their 2nd album Food For Thought and was released 2 times as a single in ’72.

The song was sampled by many artists, from Fight the Power by Public Enemy (1989), Move the Crowd by Eric B. & Rakim (1987), Lover’s in the House by Heavy D & the Boyz (1987), Have a Nice Day by Roxanne Shanté (1987), to How I Could Just Kill a Man (Blunted Remix) by Cypress Hill (1991) and a few others.

Funk it up!
