D-Mars & 80 Connect Lisbon and Amsterdam on “Sloterdijk”

Portuguese hip-hop veteran D-Mars joins forces with Amsterdam-based beatmaker 80 on “Sloterdijk”, the first single from a forthcoming full-length collaborative album released by re.

Born in Zagreb, D-Mars moved to Portugal in 1992, where he became one of the pioneers of the country’s hip-hop scene. On “Sloterdijk”, his veteran heritage meets 80’s contemporary beat-driven production, bringing together two musical backgrounds and connecting the Portuguese and Amsterdam underground scenes.

Named after Amsterdam’s major transport hub, the track reflects the movement and cultural exchange at the heart of the collaboration.
