The forgotten beginnings of Croatian Hip-Hop in Chuck D’s new dope magazine

In the third edition of Chuck D’s “Rap Central Station” magazine, German Hip-Hop historian Falk Schacht wrote a piece about the beginnings of Hip-Hop in Zagreb. One of the piece’s main points is the “Zagreb Rap Demo (1985-1992)” compilation, curated by Phat Phillie and Slavin Balen; who is also highlighted as the movement’s main character  in it’s early days. A review of Phat Phillie’s book “Memory Lane – 40 Years of Hip-Hop” was also published in the same edition.
