Blu unveils the first single from upcoming project, “LA”

Inspired by his hometown’s iconic G-Funk legacy yet rooted in the lyricism and soul of L.A.’s underground, acclaimed rapper Blu embodies the full spectrum of Los Angeles hip-hop. His upcoming project LA encapsulates that artistic identity, paying homage to classic West Coast sonics while painting a layered portrait of life in the City of Angels. Set for release this September, the collection is entirely produced by Oakland beat technician Sndtrak, a member of 9th Wonder’s production collective The Soul Council. Now, Blu and Sndtrak are unveiling an official music video for the lead single and title track from the album. Reframing sunshine and palm trees in stark black-and-white, the “LA” video captures an unvarnished urban reality lurking just beyond the Hollywood glamour.
