Audio: Afrika Bambaataa & Time Zone Live @ Aquarius Zagreb (Feb 20, 1996)

After Public Enemy & Ice-T performed in Zagreb at a Dom Sportova in 1994, Afrika Bambaataa & Time Zone were the second highly anticipated Rap show in Zagreb. I was still going by the name of DJ Filip, and Frx & I were also DJ’s at this show. Bam and the crew were mad cool and we took them around town, showed them the legendary Club Radija 1 & of course Radio 101. There is a VHS tape from this show and of course we’ll be posting that soon. Young Goran Kolarek aka Flor Kilah was also at the party and he was battling Bambaataa’s b-boy Lito. It was a classic battle. There was also a freestyle session with DJ Pimp, Buffalo, Target, Shot, Baby Dooks… Also, Bam’s DJ was Easy LG who was mentioned on Brand Nubian‘s debut album in the cut ‘Grand Puba, Positive & LG’.
