2 Men Arrested For the Killing of Jam Master Jay

The murder of Jam Master Jay has remained a mystery for nearly 18 years. Two men have long been suspected of participating in killing the DJ inside a Queens recording studio. Now Ronald Washington and Karl Jordan, Jr., were indicted on charges of murder while engaged in drug trafficking, according to two law enforcement officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. Ronald Washington, 56, is currently serving a federal prison sentence for robbery. Karl Jordan, 36, was taken into custody on Sunday and previously had gone to prison for shooting Jam Master Jay’s nephew. It was not immediately clear what role the two men played in the killing, but investigators believe Jam Master Jay was involved in a beef that didn’t go as planned.
