Xapfn & Classic Der Dicke – “Jung und Dumm” (EP)

The city of Basel is proud to present another fine project that keeps hip-hop on the right side of the quality spectrum. Classic Der Dicke, an experienced MC who has been working for 20 years now, has teamed up with Xapfn, an upcoming artist on the Swiss scene, for a dope underground EP called “Jung und Dumm”.

This collaboration gives us a nice contrast between two energy sources, both on the same level of delivery, effectively avoiding any excess in style differences. After all, this is a joint project, so it’s logical to avoid a situation where someone stands out too much. The chemistry between the two MCs is fantastic, so the whole EP project, mainly based on darker boom bap-ish instrumentals, with the track “Nutzlosi lines” being the only exception with the beat style, creates an awesome atmosphere to vibe with. I’m pretty sure it’ll find its audience pretty fast as it bangs.
