Brooklyn rap stalwart Shabaam Sahdeeq<\/strong>‘s impressive, two-decade long run of releases continues to grow stronger with certified slapper Get It<\/em>, the lead single off his new Modern Artillery<\/em> EP.<\/p>\n

You’d think spending 20 years in the game would tire an MC out right? Absolutely not! Sahdeeq<\/strong> proves that as he bullies his way through a playful beat from the Amsterdam based producer Big Ape<\/strong>. He weaves together bright bursts of bells and chopped-up guitars into a boom bap instrumental primed for his rapping collaborator, who’s getting his by any means necessary. Amid braggadocio and sharp bits of personal advice for anyone listening, Shabaam Sahdeeq<\/strong> delivers a raw mission statement on what you can expect from his upcoming project: “Want that pure-pure? S-Dubs supplyin’it \/ So when you hear that bullshit, you ain’t even buyin’ it.”<\/p>\n

The Modern Artillery<\/em> EP is due out Oct. 13 via Dutch\/Swedish label Elite Fleet Records<\/strong>.
