Today we have a brilliant and intelligent track from one of the most conscious Hip-Hop groups, in time when they were absolutely in their prime, the legendary Brand Nubian<\/strong>. A group of 3 emcees (Grand Puba, Sadat X, Lord Jamar<\/strong>) and 2 DJ’s (DJ Alamo <\/strong> and DJ Sincere<\/strong>). This is a different kind of Hip-Hop with wisdom, knowledge, education and respect that almost certainly cannot be heard these days. <\/p>\n

They’re known for socially conscious and politically charged content inspired by the teachings of the Nation of Gods and Earths. Wake Up (Reprise In The Sunshine)<\/em> is from Brand Nubian<\/strong>‘s debut album One For All<\/em>, released on Elektra<\/strong> in 1990. One For All<\/em> is a truly great album, if you haven’t heard it, I strongly recommend it.<\/p>\n
