Though his life was cut tragically short, Paul C McKasty, a\/k\/a Paul C is regarded by those who know his work as one of the all-time great innovators in hip-hop production. Over the past 13 years, self-described \u201crecord collector and hip-hop activist\u201d Pritt Kalsi conducted a plethora of video interviews with the late Queens-bred boardsman\u2019s friends, family and creative collaborators \u2013 including Rakim, Ultramagnetic\u2018s Ced Gee, TR Love and Moe Luv, Pharoahe Monch, Casanova Rud, Mikey D and more. The film, Kalsi admits, is a work in progress. But he\u2019s elected to share it on-line in the hopes that public enthusiasm for the project may help see it to completion. As the title describes, this is at heart a series of personal recollections and appreciations of McKasty\u2019s artistry \u2013 including some incredible early footage of The Mandolindley Roadshow, the early \u201980s rock band in which he played bass.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
