The project \u2013 scheduled to drop on May 21st \u2013 is lead by the single <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blackouthiphop.com\/the-brand-new-heavies-feat-ndea-davenport-sunlight\/\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cSunlight\u201d<\/a> and a massive amount of anticipation from fans who have been longing for a renaissance of the soul revival cemented by the acid jazz pioneers during 90s. With Forward, the Brand New Heavies mark a return to their signature sound, despite a changing of the guard that finds Dawn Joseph taking over lead vocals for N\u2019Dea Davenport \u2013 the powerhouse songstress some consider the voice of the \u2018Heavies.
