On October 30, 2002 the Mizell family and the wider Hip Hop community were robbed of one of the greatest artists to grace the genre of Hip Hop when Jam Master Jay\u2019s life was cut short when he was shot and killed in a Merrick Boulevard recording studio in Jamaica, Queens. If it wasn\u2019t for this unfortunate incident, yesterday on January 21st Jam Master Jay would have celebrated his 47th birthday.<\/p>\n
