The artist, yes we said artist
since anybody can rap, but it takes an artist to take words and paint a
picture, and this is what you will get from the artist B.A.M.A. The
pictures that B.A.M.A. paints are ones of real life struggles, the ups and
downs coming up in of Atlanta, Ga.

B.A.M.A said his life lessons were learned here in Atlanta starting at
the age of three when his family moved to Atlanta’s Overlook Apartments
and Honey Hole Projects in the community of Bankhead where he, his mom,
brothers and sisters lived. There he attended Carter G. Woodson
Elementary and later Stewart Middle School. B.A.M.A. at a young age used
writing as an escape to take his mind off what he was seeing in the hood
and his mother life struggles as she tried to provide for him and his
brothers & sisters.

Even though his mother tried to provide as much as she could she too
became a victim of life’s struggles by being locked up and ultimately
losing her children to Atlanta’s DFACS system. B.A.M.A. said this is when
his life changed for the worst. He wrote even more, trying to escape what
he and his siblings were going through as they were separated, and sent
from home to home, shelter to shelter and eventually back to their mom.

B.A.M.A. says for a while things were looking up, but an event took place
that would change his life forever. His stepfather was charged with
attempted murder and locked up for life for trying to kill his mom. “That
one situation changed my life because I was there and saw it all, and
could not stop it. It’s just some things a kid should not see and even
more worst I had to help clean up the blood…just wrong”.

Following that horrific event B.A.M.A. and his sibling moved in with their
Aunt Dottie and Uncle Cleve off Conley St. on Atlanta’s southside. There
B.A.M.A. says he wrote his first song of true inspiration for his mom
entitled “Struggles.” She loved it and encouraged him to write even more
songs. It is true that, “From Concrete Roses Do Bloom” and from that
moment going forward B.A.M.A. has been writing and rapping.

B.A.M.A.’s first open-mic was Atlanta radio station, Hot 107.9’s “Akini
Da Black Mac” Blues in the Alley. This was where artists in the ATL came
to compete to see who was going to be invited back for each month “Best
of the Best.” As a result you would be seen by some of Atlanta’s leading
celebs, DJ’s, Radio Station Personalities, and Record Labels. B.A.M.A
said he has performed at every open mic in the city of Atlanta, but
Akini’s open mics from the Royal Peacock to Throbacks brought out the
best talent in the ATL. Competing against such talented artists made him
work even harder to improve his writing skills. It was from those
open-mics B.A.M.A. wrote songs like “Try Harder” and “Lonesome” which can
be found on his first mixtape hosted by DJ Scream.

In 2008 as B.A.M.A. worked the ATL underground music scene he got the
attention of Young Jeezy, and was signed his first record deal under
Jeezy’s label, CTE. B.A.M.A. said that was one of his happiest moments
because he knew he was ready to move up in the music game and he really
respects how Young Jeezy came from the bottom up just like him. However,
in 2009 came a few events that would cause B.A.M.A. to re-evaluate
everything. One was the infamous night at “Lucky Lounge” where an
altercation took place and B.A.M.A. almost lost his life. The other event
was him parting ways with CTE. Even though B.A.M.A. respects Jeezy for
giving him the opportunity, he felt it was time to move forward.

B.A.M.A. has released his 3rd mixtape entitled, “Hello World: Above the
Illuminati.” The hoods are buzzing and fans on all over the Internet
clicking on www.livemixtapes.com to download his latest mixtape which has
over 35,000 download in a matter of a couple of weeks. B.A.M.A.
attributes his latest mixtape release success to just giving the people
what they want…..real life music.

So what’s next for B.A.M.A.? He’s headed to Europe in March 2011 and from
there on to more major deals in the music industry as B.A.M.A says, “Hello
World.”

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false

6

post-40868","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-download
["GET
