Calilfornia born producer Hit-Boy is the first beatsmith to sign with the G.O.O.D Music label. Much like fellow signees CyHi The Prynce and Big Sean, he made an instant impression on boss Kanye West. VIBE<\/a> courted the young producer for the story behind his signing to hip-hop’s all-star team.<\/p>\n

What were your first thoughts when ‘Ye officially asked you to come join the team and roll with him?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It was a dream come true. It’s Kanye West! It’s crazy. It ain’t really hit me until I actually had went to work. We worked side by side\u2014making beats together and coming up with ideas \u2014with the beats I was making and the beats that I already had. He\u2019s a person I had said I admire so much.<\/p>\n

How about that Watch the Throne? Any chance we’re going to get a Hit-Boy record on there?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We’ll see. I’m definitely went in and handcrafted some stuff, so time will tell, man. There are a lot of producers trying to get on that thing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
