The father of hip hop Clive Campbell also known as DJ kool Herc (55) is in the hospital in bad health condition. That\u2019s what DJ Premier said on this week Live From HQ. It\u2019s not looking good as Kool Herc doesn\u2019t have health insurance and the bills are getting higher and higher. No more details were given but he is in need of some financial help as soon as possible.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

UPDATE: AllHipHop<\/a> has new information on Kool Herc’s current status:<\/p>\n

Hip-Hop pioneer DJ Kool Herc has been released from a medical facility, but remains in need of financial aid to help with an unknown health condition.<\/p>\n

“I just spoke to Kool Herc.he\u2019s ok and in good spirits..but needs surgery..THIS TUESDAY at SUTRA..we\u2019re gonna do a collection for him,” DJ Tony Touch tweeted earlier today.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While no further details have been released on his ailments, Kool Herc is in dire need of donations to help with medical costs. The legendary DJ does not currently have health insurance.<\/p>\n
