Brooding, nocturnal, and enigmatic, &#8220;Nightbird&#8221; explores the interplay between fate and free will. Soulful chords played on a Fender Rhodes provide the centrepiece to a musical arrangement that is lush and ornate, driven by pulsing drums, and bejewelled with violin flourishes.
