A.D.O.R.<\/strong>, an emcee hailing from Manhattan’s Washington Heights, has unfortunately passed away. He was best known for his 1992 Pete Rock<\/strong>-produced hit single, “Let It All Hang Out.” Born Eddie M. Castellanos, A.D.O.R. was brought up in a musical family, and would often accompany his father on late-night studio sessions. After moving to Mt. Vernon, NY, he connected with many important musical figures, including Chuck D<\/strong>, Puffy<\/strong>, Al B. Sure!<\/strong>, and Pete Rock<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

A.D.O.R. eventually signed to Atlantic Records<\/em>, and released his debut single, “Let It All Hang Out,” in 1992, which was followed by the Marley Marl<\/strong>-produced “One For The Trouble” in 1994. Even though his debut album, “The Concrete,” was ultimately shelved by Atlantic, he would go on to found Tru Reign Records<\/em>, and release “Shock Frequency” in 1998. A.D.O.R (short for Another Dimension Of Rhythm) released a total of 4 full-length albums during his career.<\/p>\n

The news of his passing was shared by Pete Rock, who posted a heartfelt message<\/a> on his social media.<\/strong><\/p>\n
