Eddie was hailed as one of Hip-hop&#8217;s earliest stars and a top-tier DJ on the scene. Def Jam co-founder <strong>Russel Simmons<\/strong> cited Eddie&#8217;s 1977 live perfomance as the event that inspired him to pursue a career in Hip-Hop.
