While Slum Village’s<\/strong> lineup has experienced significant changes over the course of nearly three decades, OG member\u00a0T3<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Grammy-nominated rapper\/producer\u00a0Young RJ<\/b>\u00a0have carried\u00a0on the\u00a0legacy of the seminal Rap group’s name over the course of 12\u00a0years. As the longest standing iteration of the group, their output consists of two mixtapes (2012’s\u00a0Dirty Slums<\/i>\u00a0and 2013’s\u00a0Dirty Slums 2<\/i>), and two\u00a0lauded albums between the years of 2013 and the second half of 2015 (Evolution<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0Yes!<\/i>). At the tail end of their sold out European tour in April of 2023, the duo announced their new album and teamed with the Bay’s Larry June\u00a0<\/b>and Detroit Soul OGs\u00a0The Dramatics<\/b> for the project’s lead single “Just Like You”. Now, the album’s second single “Request” hit all major digital streaming platforms via Ne’Astra Music\/Ingrooves. The new smooth and subdued Young RJ<\/b>-produced track features chart-topping rapper\/songwriter\/producer, and Big Sean <\/b>collaborator\u00a0Earlly Mac<\/b>, and British Hip-Hop ensemble\u00a0Abstract Orchestra<\/b>.<\/p>\n
