Over the course of the following decade, Robbie<\/strong> conducted over 180 phone interviews with rappers, DJs, producers, musicians, and journalists.

It features thirty conversations with members of pioneering groups such as Public Enemy, De La Soul, Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Boogie Down Productions<\/strong>, and The Beatnuts<\/strong>, as well as legendary soloists such as LL Cool J, Schoolly-D & Just-Ice<\/strong>. Plus exclusive sessions with three of the key members of the Sugar Hill Records<\/strong> house band, who were responsible for hits such as Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five<\/strong>‘s The Message<\/em>.<\/p>\n
