NME: After being insulted by Chris Brown<\/strong> at this year\u2019s Grammy Awards, Robert Glasper<\/strong> responded by printing the insult on a shirt, promising to donate a portion of earnings to charity; now, the legendary pianist has confirmed those shirts are all sold out.<\/p>\n

During this year\u2019s ceremony, Glasper<\/strong> won the Grammy for Best R&B Album at the hand of his 2022 record \u2018Black Radio III\u2019<\/em>. Brown <\/strong>took issue with the outcome \u2013 the controversial artist was nominated for his own \u2018Breezy\u2019<\/em> album \u2013 writing in an Instagram Story alongside a string of laughing emojis:<\/p>\n

\u201cY\u2019all playing. Who da fuck is this? Who the fuck is Robert Glasper? I\u2019ma keep kicking y\u2019all ass respectfully.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Brown<\/strong> later apologised to Glasper<\/strong>, congratulating him for the win and assuring him that he was \u201cnot the intended target\u201d<\/em> of Brown<\/strong>\u2019s \u201creally rude and mean\u201d comments. But Glasper<\/strong> took the jab in stride nonetheless, poking fun at Brown<\/strong> by printing a run of shirts that read \u201cWHO THE FUCK IS ROBERT GLASPER?\u201d<\/strong> The \u2018O\u2019 in \u2018WHO\u2019, too, is cheekily subbed in with a laughing emoji.<\/p>\n

The shirts went on sale last Friday (February 10), and managed to last just four days before they completely sold out. Confirming as much on Instagram, Glasper<\/strong> revealed that he plans to give \u201ca<\/em> portion of the proceeds from this shirt\u201d<\/em> to the Community Music Center of New Orleans,<\/strong> which he described as \u201ca nonprofit created to share the music culture and music education in New Orleans, providing free music lessons to underserved youth\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t thank y\u2019all enough for supporting this cause,\u201d he wrote in closing.<\/p>\n
