Carribean-born artist <strong>Sherwin<\/strong> <strong>Banfield<\/strong> said <strong>Biggie<\/strong> played a monumental role in his youth. The New York-based artist added that he wanted to pay tribute to one of the pioneers of hip-hop with the statue.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<div>&#8220;One of his most famous positive lyrics is &#8216;Stay far from timid, only make moves when your heart&#8217;s in it, and live the phrase &#8216;the sky&#8217;s the limit&#8217;&#8230; he&#8217;s offering you his microphone, which is his throne, which is what helped him become the king of New York,&#8221; said Banfield. &#8220;I wanted to show that yes, you can be tough, but you can also show love, or spread love as he would say.&#8221;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>\n<div class=\"block\">The sculpture is located at Clumber Corner Park in DUMBO.
