Hip-Hop superstar Coolio<\/strong> died yesterday. The Grammy Award-winning artist born Artis Leon Ivey Jr. was 59 years old. On Wednesday, he was found unresponsive at a friend\u2019s residence in Los Angeles. An official cause of death has not been determined at this time, although the suspicion is he had suffered a heart attack.<\/p>\n

Coolio<\/strong> was a member of WC and The Maad Circle<\/strong> appearing on 1991\u2019s Ain\u2019t A Damn Thang Changed<\/em>. Then he launched a solo career that included 1994\u2019s It Takes A Thief<\/em>, 1995\u2019s Gangsta\u2019s Paradise<\/em>, and 1997\u2019s My Soul<\/em>. Coolio<\/strong>\u2019s smash hit Gangsta\u2019s Paradise<\/em> appeared in the movie Dangerous Minds<\/em> and won the \u201cBest Rap Song\u201d Grammy Award in 1996.<\/p>\n
