The last time I\u2019ve covered Hus <\/strong>was last year with the phenomenal Portishead<\/strong>-influenced album Portishus<\/a><\/em>. In all of its geniusness the album was straight quality, but hella dark, gritty, and intimidating, and with it, probably not for every soul. More than a year later, the Brooklyn-born MC moves away from the filthy street sounds on the beats and again hops on waves of relaxation under the hot Cali sun where he resides since 2014. The lyrics, naturally, are quite different compared to Portishus<\/em>, but nevertheless on the same level of quality, although much more lascivious.
\nHus Kingpin knows how it’s done and always stays true to himself, and we can\u2019t be more grateful to have such an act in \u201chip-hop\u2019s new wave\u201d as many critics describe it. The Threesome <\/em>franchise is now richer with another installment well worthy of your time, both lyrically and instrumentally, and I can vouch for your listening satisfaction.<\/p>\n
