Today is a great day for Kool Herc’s<\/strong> culture. Today, Nas<\/strong> and the legendary hip-hop journalist Miss Info<\/strong> started a brand new Spotify exclusive podcast \u201cThe Bridge\u201d<\/em> that takes us on a time-travelling journey detailing 50 Years of Hip-Hop.<\/p>\n

Since Nas<\/strong> arrival back in 1991, on the Main Source<\/strong> – Live at the BBQ<\/em>, with the best guest verse ever (yep, I said what I said), Nas<\/strong> always appreciated the culture and took it to the next level. When J Cole <\/strong>said \u201cNas wrote the Bible.<\/em>\u201d he was right because his monumental 1st album Illmatic<\/em> was and still is The Hip-Hop Bible and also got the 5 Mics in The Source which was a big deal back in the day. Fast forward to 2021. Amongst so many ventures, Nas<\/strong> released King\u2019s Disease II,<\/em> probably the best album of the year next to his comrade AZ<\/strong> – Doe or Die 2<\/em> album.<\/p>\n

Talking about the 5 mics in the Source, the journalist who gave them to Illmatic<\/em> was Minya Oh<\/strong> aka Shortie<\/strong>. You are reading this article and right about now you are asking yourself why am I talking about her. Well, she was formerly known as Shortie<\/strong>. For years now the world knows her as the iconic hip-hop journalist and former HOT-97 personality Miss Info<\/strong>. She also worked with Complex, BET\u2026. Overall, when you talk about Miss Info you can\u2019t say anything less than she is Hip-Hop.<\/p>\n

So, when you have Nas <\/strong>and Miss Info<\/strong>, The Bridge<\/em> podcast sounds like a win-win for the culture. The podcast premiered today with new episodes released weekly, exclusively on Spotify. So, If you don\u2019t use Spotify I suggest you open an account because you don\u2019t want to miss this.<\/p>\n

The Bridge<\/em> features candid discussions with an assortment of special guests, including artists and other industry figures who are integral to the half-century-long story.<\/p>\n

The first 3 episodes are out but of course, I suggest you start with the 1st episode which I don\u2019t wanna talk much about.
