Record Store Day 2020 saw London\u2019s Prime Direct Distribution<\/strong> reissue Def Jam<\/strong>‘s historic first release on 45 and it\u2019s clear from what director Spencer Broughton<\/strong> had to say about it, that it\u2019s one that\u2019s close to this heart. 1984 was the year when Bronx rapper T La Rock<\/strong> & DJ \/ producer Jazzy Jay<\/strong> collaborated on an all-time classic It’s Yours<\/em>, get your copy now!<\/p>\n

I\u2019d had my eye on it for years as it was mine and Shane\u2019s jam. Old friends and BBoys since \u201982, and when this came out in \u201984 it blew our minds. Def Jam 001 and didn\u2019t they go on to be somewhat of a label. Add a lifetime love of music and it became our careers, me running Prime and Shane running the Prime warehouse\u2026 so I licensed it and released it for Record Store Day to celebrate both of our 50th birthdays this summer. Shane even gold plated a copy as my Birthday present.<\/p>\n

I also licensed One for the Treble – Davy DMX last year ago for exactly the same reason.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
