The Mr Bongo<\/strong> Hip Hop 45 reissue series has reached release number 20! The series has featured artists such as Tribe Called Quest, Nas, Souls of Mischief, Black Sheep, Gang Starr, Ultramagnetic MC\u2019s, Cypress Hill, Positive K<\/strong> and The Egyptian Lover<\/strong>. To showcase the catalogue they called in DJ Chris Read<\/strong> to put together an exclusive Mr Bongo Hip Hop 45s<\/em> mix.<\/p>\n

The Mr Bongo label’s recent Hip Hop 45s series sees classic Hip Hop tracks from the 80s, 90s and beyond reissued on 7″ vinyl in original picture sleeves. Every track featured in the series is a certified classic and a high proportion of these records featured heavily in my DJ sets during the 90s and beyond. It was a lot of fun not only to see these records again on 45, but also to revisit them in this mix for the label.<\/p>\n
