Ewing Athletics<\/strong> continue with their sneaker releases honouring classic golden era hip-hop albums. The newest one celebrates three decades of Main Source<\/strong>‘s outstanding album Breaking Atoms<\/em>. <\/p>\n

Main Source<\/strong>, comprised of K-Cut, Sir Scratch<\/strong>, and rapper\/producer Large Professor<\/strong>, released the conscious and experimental Breaking Atoms<\/em> in ’91. The record went on to inspire an entire generation of producers and gave the world its first appearance of back then-unknown Nas <\/strong>from the Bridge on Live at the Barbeque<\/em>. Deep tracks like Just a Friendly Game of Baseball<\/em> and Peace Is Not the Word to Play <\/em>spoke on the issues of pervasive police brutality and violence that are, some 30 years later, still relevant.<\/p>\n

In creating this latest 33 HI<\/strong>, Ewing Athletics<\/strong> drew from the fantastic artwork on the cover of Breaking Atoms<\/em>. Its surreal art style and punchy colours blended perfectly with the Ewing logo at the tongue to create something totally new and unique for this silhouette. Accented with premium suedes, this 33 HI rides atop atomic midsole details and icy purple outsoles.<\/p>\n
