10 days ago Common<\/strong>‘s classic sophomore LP Resurrection<\/em> celebrated 25th anniversary. The album was produced almost entirely by No I.D.<\/strong>, with contributions from Ynot<\/strong>. With a heavy reliance on jazz, samples on the LP come from the likes of George Benson, Freddie Hubbard<\/strong> and the The Modern Jazz Quartet<\/strong> among others. The album spawned two popular singles, the timeless ode to Hip Hop’s ever changing nature I Used to Love H.E.R.<\/em> and the title track Resurrection<\/em>. <\/p>\n

In celebration of the album’s landmark anniversary, WhoSampled<\/strong> teamed up with Wax Poetics<\/strong> & Chris Read<\/strong> for an exclusive mixtape of album tracks, alternative versions, interview snippets and of course sample material used in the making of the album.<\/p>\n
