Training Day<\/em> director Antoine Fuqua has confirmed that the long-awaited Tupac biopic is back on track and set for a September production date. The film has been stuck in a court battle over rights between production company Morgan Creek and Tupac\u2019s estate, Amaru Entertainment but based on Fuqua\u2019s update it looks like things have been set straight:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt looks like we\u2019re doing Tupac Shakur\u2019s movie next in September, that\u2019s what I\u2019ve been starting up and working on now,\u201d he said. \u201cI\u2019ve been working on that for a while with Morgan Creek and Jim Robinson. I just got the greenlight from him and we\u2019re going in September. I\u2019ve just started to prep that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the goal, I want to discover someone new,\u201d he explained. \u201cI want to discover a lot of new people if I can. Obviously I\u2019m going to have to put some people in it that you know, just because actors have different skills. I want to go to the streets and find him anywhere he might be in the world.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
