The Kidd Creole<\/strong> (born Nathaniel Glover) of Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five<\/strong> was arrested after he allegedly stabbed a homeless man multiple times in Manhattan, New York near midnight last Tuesday <\/p>\n

According to AFH<\/strong> <\/a>Glover, 57, was taken into custody by police in his native borough and current residence of the Bronx the following Wednesday morning. Creole<\/strong> confessed to the authorities that he was involved in the incident, and subsequently he was charged with murder. <\/p>\n

The Kidd Creole<\/strong> is the brother of The Furious Five<\/strong>\u2019s de facto lead MC, Grandmaster Melle Mel<\/strong>. The seminal group formed in the late 1970s and were signed to Rap\u2019s earliest iconic record label Sugar Hill Records<\/strong> in 1980. Before Sugar Hill, they released their first single Superrappin’<\/em> in 1979. Other hit records from the group\u2019s catalog include White Lines, New York, New York, The Birthday Party<\/em>, and Freedom<\/em>. In the early 1980s, tensions broke the group into two factions. Creole and his brother separated, as the detained MC stayed with Flash (in a group under the DJ\u2019s name). They signed with Elektra and released three albums as an offshoot of the seminal act. Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five<\/strong> was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame<\/strong> in 2007.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
