The sad news for the Hip-Hop society continue as AFH<\/a> informed that 2 Live Crew<\/strong>‘s founding member Fresh Kid Ice<\/strong> passed away at the age of 53. The MC and artist born Christopher Wong Won died 5 days ago in Miami, Florida.\nFresh Kid Ice<\/strong> (a.k.a. Chinaman<\/strong>) is regarded as one of Hip-Hop\u2019s first commercially successful and mainstream recognized Asian MCs. Along with the other 2 Live Crew<\/strong> members, Mr. Mixx, Luke & Brother Marquis<\/strong>, Chinaman<\/strong> received a platinum album & four gold others, including two Top 40 hits – Me So Horny<\/em> and Banned In The U.S.A.<\/em>.\n2 Live Crew<\/strong> are credited as the originators of the Miami bass sound. They had a controversial run in the late 80s and early 90s driven by their sexually charged lyrics.
