\nEvery December, various music outlets publish their individual \u201cBest Albums Of The Year\u201d rap-ups. AllHipHop.com provided a twist on that concept by curating a list of the \u201cBest Reviewed Hip Hop Albums.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just like in 2014 and 2015, Metacritic Scores (MS) were used to determine the highest rated Hip Hop releases of 2016. Metacritic.com calculates the scores by giving weighted averages for reviews from leading print and online publications. Albums with an MS between 81-100 are labeled as receiving \u201cuniversal acclaim.\u201d<\/p>\n

Of course, the pundits aren\u2019t always right. Some of the most popular projects of \u201916 didn\u2019t make the cut. But this list does present a general consensus of the critics\u2019 thoughts on the major Hip Hop projects around the time they hit the internet.<\/p>\n
