The group consisted of <strong>Cheryl Cook (Cheryl The Pearl), Gwendolyn Chisolm (Blondie)<\/strong>, and lead singer\/rapper <strong>Angie Brown Stone (Angie B.)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s <em>Funk You Up<\/em> was their top single and the first rap record released by a female group. It was also the second single released by <strong>Sugar Hill Records<\/strong>.
