Snoop Dogg, world-renowned entertainment icon and a big time weed lover, has been investing in tech products and platforms for the past year or so, with a particular focus on the cannabis industry.\u00a0This time its a whole new aproach and plaform called “Mary Jane”.<\/p>\n

“Mary Jane” is a media site with cannabis at its core with loads of video and editorial content. The site serves as an information hub for every weed lover or anyone that is interested in pot whether he is a big time smoker or a complete rookie.<\/p>\n

Snoop spoke himself on stage at TechCrunch Disrupt saying the site will offer the user “anything they need to know” about marijuana as well as touch different aspects of pot and its’ certain lifestyle. This ranges from different types of cooking shows, where people can learn how to make amazing edible pot infused food or just learn what types of food pairs well with cannabis consumption. He will also be starring different celebrities that are interested in the matter from Seth Rogen to Miley Cyrus. But beyond that, “Mary Jane”will also take a hard editorial look at business and politics of the cannabis industry, breaking news about legalization, policy, and industry growth.<\/p>\n

“Mary Jane” also connects its own database around various strains of cannabis created by the advanced users and the editorial team which will help users learn more about the strain that might suit them best or just for general knowledge. Users can search by type of cannabis, flavors, symptoms, and more, with high-res rotating imagery for every product listed.<\/p>\n

When asked about the business plan for the site, “Mary Jane” \u00a0co-founder Ted Chung said that: “…advertising is definitely part of the plan…\u201d ,but noted that the most important thing is providing the marijuana business with a definitive destination for brands and retail locations to create a strong presence.<\/p>\n
