Last month, after three years in custody and what was reportedly the longest trial in Jamaican circuit court history, dancehall artist Vybz Kartel was convicted of the 2011 murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams. Yesterday, in Jamaica’s Supreme Court, Kartel was sentenced to life in prison.
