Video: So Wassup #48 | Big Daddy Kane – Show & Prove

The 48th episode of Preemo‘s So Wassup series features the making of yet another classic track recorded back in 1994. We’re talking about Show & Prove, a posse cut from Big Daddy Kane‘s sixth album Daddy’s Home released in the same year.
It features six MCs in total, all of them in their all might representing their own style. The track is opened by Scoob Lover who transfers the mic to Sauce Money, a rapper mostly recognized for his work with at the time upcoming Jay-Z that is also featured on the song, owning the verse with his attention-grabbing style. There’s also Shyheim, a young prodigy associated with the Wu-Tang fam that was already in the spotlight after releasing his debut album in April 1994 called AKA the Rugged Child. Lastly, the last verse was done by Wu‘s Ol’ Dirty Bastard closing the track with his highly recognizable drunken style and the famous “danger” – a word that was sampled dozens of times by various artists throughout the years.
