Video: DJ Shadow kicked off stage for being “too future”

So you’re a promoter and you’re booking DJ Shadow for your event at Miami’s Mansion nightclub this past Friday, Dec. 14. You also decided to promote the shit out of his name on the event’s poster. And as the legendary turntablist is performing his set, you whisper in his ear that he has to stop performing. If this sounds absurd, it is, but it also actually happened.

As you’ll see in the video below, the promoter whispers in Shadow’s ear to inform him that the music he’s playing is “too future” for the crowd. The sound is then cut off, Shadow announces that he has to cut his set short.
