Video: Dig Of The Day: Real Live – The Turnaround (1996)
Experienced veterans on the scene, they first came together at a house party where K-Def was spinning. They’re actually cousins, but it was a friend who spotted Larry-O‘s rhyme skills.
The group was formed when Larry-O rapped outside the jam for K-Def somewhere in ’88. The Turnaround got a single release in ’96 and was featured on their debut and only album to date The Turnaround: The Long Awaited Drama, released in ’96 on Big Beat.
They were supposed to “drop” wayback in ’88 but couldn’t get a deal since, in the words of K-Def – Larry-O was way ahead of the times, talkin about stuff Jay-Z dropped out with in ’94 etc, almost six years later, hence “The Long Awaited Drama” title.
Produced by K-Def.
