Video: Dig Of The Day: Kris Kross – Warm It Up (1992)

This song randomly crossed my mind today, a ’92 goodness from the legendary Atlanta duo Kris Kross, who were discovered by a young Jermaine Dupri in ’91 .

Active from ’91 – 2001, the duo spawned 3 albums and numerous singles. The group consisted of Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith. They were best known for their hit 1992 song Jump, which was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks and certified double platinum as a single.

Also, they are the youngest rap duo to gain success, with gold and platinum albums, at 11 and 12 years old and have been referenced on the albums or songs of Dr. Dre, 2Pac, Method Man and many others. Warm It Up is off their debut Totally Krossed Out released in ’92.
